For grading over 3,500 feet, the city requires:

• Grading Permit Application, fee and surety
• Erosion & Siltation Control Plan application
• Concrete Washout, Chemicals, Litter & Sanitary Waste Control application
• if applicable, the ADEM NPDES Construction permit number should be supplied

Standard details for Erosion & Sedimentation Control for residential construction may be used for: 

• your ESCC plan but it is your obligation to ensure adequate controls are used and maintained, or
• you may also hire a certified professional to prepare an individual ESCC plan

A bond to cover Erosion and Sediment Control is required for all sites. 

• bonds should be automatically renewable
• bonds should be issued from a company payable at a local company
• performance bonds should  be based on total disturbed area 
• the name of the property owner being bonded should be included
• no other bond forms will be accepted
