The Neighborhood watch officers are dedicated to helping each neighborhood defeat crime. Currently there are close to 100 neighborhood watches in the City of Montgomery. The Police Department would like to see all neighborhoods actively participate in a neighborhood watch. It is very simple to start a neighborhood watch and the dedicated officers will be more than helpful to assist you in starting one in your area. If you are interested in starting a neighborhood watch on your street or in your neighborhood, click here. Remove Lt. Grandison and place twilliams@montgomeryal.gov
Protecting Your Business
The Certified Crime Prevention Business Program is built around four main elements which consist of written policies, training, security assessments and liaison with the Police Department. These four elements are broken down into certain mandatory and optional requirements that must be fulfilled by the business seeking certification within the program. The purpose of the program is to prevent participating businesses from being victimized. This is accomplished by raising awareness and knowledge through written policies and training, implementing recommended security applications, and by increased communication and cooperation between businesses themselves, and between the business community and the Police Department.
If your business is interested in joining this program and being a part of a driving force to prevent crime contact twilliams@montgomeryal.gov and gdixion@montgomeryal.gov and request a certified crime prevention officer to visit your business for the Certified Crime Prevention Business Program
