Kim Fehl
City Attorney Kim Fehl has been with the City since October 2001, and she and her staff represent the City in a variety of legal matters before administrative agencies and in state and federal court. They also prepare ordinances, resolutions and provide legal advice and representation to the Mayor, City Council members, City officials and departments.

Prior to joining the City, Kim spent eight years as a lawyer in private practice and 12 years in the banking industry. Kim received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University in Montgomery and a Juris Doctorate from Jones School of Law. Kim is admitted to the Alabama State Bar, the United District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.

Originally from Birmingham, Kim and her husband Marty, a native of Miami, met and were married in Lee County in 1988. They have lived in Montgomery since 1997 and are members of Young Meadows Presbyterian Church. They enjoy traveling, sports and the beach.
