Scott serves as the Director of Leisure Services.  His appointment to this position follows his long term career with the Parks & Recreation Department which he began in 1980.  Scott is an experienced, dedicated leader who seeks to build stronger communities by offering safe, accessible park facilities and diverse recreational activities. 

He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University at Montgomery.  Scott also received an Associate of Science from George C. Wallace State Community College.     

He is an active member of the Alabama High School Athletic Association, the Alabama Recreation and Park Association, and the National Recreation and Park Association.  Scott holds numerous awards, recognition's and accomplishments including the Recipient of the Judge Joseph D. Phelps “Friend of The Youth” Award in 2000.

His wife and he have been long term members of Morningview Baptist Church.
